About Karen Moniz

*Originally from Salem, MA, Karen’s parents cultivated a love for ministry by consistently involving their young family in community outreach and church-related activities. While attending a Teen Time Rally at the age of 13, her knowledge of Jesus Christ became a personal belief in Him as Savior.

* Karen first met her husband Dave on a blind date while in college. One year after graduation, they married and settled on the North Shore of Boston.

*Dave, Karen and their 2 children enjoyed being involved with Pioneer Girls, Christian Service Brigade, Young Life and coordinating small groups at West Church in Peabody, MA.

*On their 20th wedding anniversary, Karen entered the Mrs. Essex County Pageant at the Topsfield Fair and won! The year-long reign of public appearances and speaking engagements as Mrs. Essex County 2008 kindled her love for public speaking and created a desire to combine that with her passion for the Lord through the Strength for the Heart women's speaking ministry .

*In 2010 Karen began an in-home, non-medical, personal assistance service for seniors called Door to Door & More and, she is often given the title of "the third daughter."

*In the fall of 2019, Dave & Karen became grandparents to a 4lb, 13oz "little nugget" named David. They are finding it hard to think about anything else!

Sharing A Passion-

“What a blessing it was to have Karen Moniz share with the ladies of our congregation and community at our Ladies’ Spring Retreat. Karen is someone who genuinely radiates the beauty of Christ. Through her sweet countenance and gentle spirit she effectively shares solid Biblical truth instilling a desire in women to strengthen their relationship the Lord. She is an equally engaging story-teller and uses that gift to give the listener spiritually grounded insights to reflect upon and be encouraged by. It is evident that Karen uses the “God-cidentals”, as she calls them, in her life for His purpose and glory. It was wonderful to have her share “Strength for the Heart Ministries” with us and fulfill His purpose in our midst.” -

Jodi Rockness,

Former Women's Ministries Director, First Congregational Church of Litchfield, CT

"Karen took my few words about where we were focused for the coming year and wove together a delightful presentation with captivating stories, grounded in God's Word. The illustrations she shared from her own life and how she connected them with God's presence in our lives have stayed in the hearts of the women who came."

Margo Rox,

Director of Women's Ministries, Hamilton Cong. Church, Hamilton, MA

"We have been blessed. Thank you so much for sharing your love and faith with us today and for reminding us we were made in God's image and we are to reflect Him in all that we say and do."

Gail Wylder,

"Karen is a uniquely gifted teacher of God’s Word. The warmth of her engaging personality coupled with her enthusiasm for communicating and applying the Scriptures to real life, makes her a woman women find easy to listen to. Karen is a godly woman who lives out her faith every day and is ever reaching out to others with the Gospel of God’s love in Christ.”
